Port Retreats is owned and operated by husband and wife team Olivia and Al Spence. Olivia and Al have worked in property management for over 14 years, with 13 of these years spent in Port Douglas.
They made the move to Port Douglas in 2010 to operate a 40-apartment complex on Macrossan Street, before purchasing the management rights at Garrick House Holiday Apartments. After owing and operating Garrick House for over 8 years they commenced a new venture with Port Retreats.

By booking directly with Port Retreats you can rest assured you are receiving the lowest nightly rate. All direct rates are lower than any other online site. Bookings can be made by clicking here
Yes we do. When booking direct with Port Retreats all bookings of 7 or more nights will automatically receive a 5% discount.
When booking direct with Port Retreats you can enjoy a flexible 14 day cancellation policy. No payment is required at time of booking. A 50% non-refundable deposit will be due 14 days prior to arrival with the balance due on the day of arrival.
There is a minimum stay requirement attached to each property and this varies between properties and at different times of the year. Minimum stays can range from 2-7 nights. However if your dates don’t meet the minimum stay requirement please don’t hesitate to get in touch with us via email as we can sometimes make exceptions.
All our properties offer a flexible self check-in procedure. You will be emailed self check-in instructions on the morning of arrival. Although normal check-in time is 2pm you are welcome to check in as soon as the property is ready. Simply let us know if you are arriving prior to 2pm and we can confirm an exact check-in time.
